Meet The Works, they believe that learning should be a fun, inspiring, and enriching experience! Their small business offers a wide range of classes and DIY Kits in crafting, food, and botanicals. Each box comes complete with materials, detailed instructions, and a carefully curated playlist to inspire your creativity. The kits are the culmination of hundreds of hours of research, testing, revision, and, most of all, love. They source high-quality materials, pack all of their kits in-house in Seattle, WA, and insist that every kit project is foolproof, no matter what your skill level. They want you to have a great experience, every time! The best part? They always share the master instructions so you can make the project again and again. And the DIY kits invite you to go beyond the box with creative spins on your newly acquired skills. Think boba popsicles, aromatherapy projects, unique printing techniques, and more. The sky's the limit with a DIY Kit from The Works!
With the woods of New Hampshire as her childhood stomping grounds, founder/owner Kellie Phelan developed an appreciation for the natural world and our connection to it. She spent the first decade of her career working in environmental consulting and now seeks to change the world on a much more local level - by building community, connecting over passions, and sharing skills. She founded The Works in 2018 as a place to do just that. Growing from a one-woman pop-up into a brick and mortar location in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle that employs 8 team members, her role now includes supporting our amazing team with operations, developing new curriculum, and sales and marketing.
