AJ’s Edible Arts is a Pasco, Washington food maker specializing in small-batch condiments made with fresh Columbia Basin produce. The company is best known for hand-crafted products such as Walla Walla Sweet Onion Mustard, developed through close relationships with local growers.
Situated in the heart of the Columbia Basin in Pasco, Washington, AJ’s Edible Arts is a second-generation, family-run business renowned for its artisan mustards and sauces. The story begins in the 1980s when founder Alice Jones began crafting her own specialty condiments while catering private events. Due to overwhelming demand from guests wanting to take her recipes home, Alice began bottling her creations, selling her very first jars at the original Country Mercantile fruit stand north of Pasco.
Today, under the leadership of Alice’s daughter, Juli Massingale, AJ's maintains its unwavering dedication to quality and community. By fostering strong relationships with local farmers at regional markets, AJ's ensures only the finest fresh produce goes into every batch. This commitment to local agriculture is most evident during the annual July harvest, when 50-pound bags of famous Walla Walla sweet onions are brought in and meticulously trimmed by hand to create their signature, high-quality Washington products.
