Known as the Queen of Blackberries, Marionberries were developed in the Willamette Valley of Oregon during the 1940s. This hybrid berry, a cross between the Chehalem and Olallieberry, offers a unique flavor experience. They taste similar to a blackberry but have a slightly more tart and complex flavor profile, with hints of earthiness and a subtle sweetness that comes through with each bite. This jam is perfect for enhancing the taste of homemade biscuits or pancakes, adding a burst of vibrant, juicy flavor that pairs beautifully with the warm, buttery texture of these breakfast favorites.
