Fisher Original Fair Scone & Shortcake Mix

A classic staple of the Washington State Fair! Fisher Flour Mills started selling hot scones at the 1915 Puyallup Fair to promote the use of their flour. The scones became a favorite treat of fairgoers, and in 2011 Fisher sold their 100 millionth scone in the very same location. One 18 oz box.

Wonderful memories

As a child we always went to the Puyallup fair. We would stand in line to get a hot scone slathered in raspberry jam. Now that I do not live in Washington I’m thrilled to buy them in a mix. I buy 12 at a time. I now add nuts to mine

A Breakfast Treat!

Fisher Original Fair Scone Mix, 18-Ounces is an excellent breakfast treat. More than 50 years ago, when we attended the 1962 Seattle Worlds Fair & the Western Washington State Fair in Puyallup, we enjoyed Fisher Scones. They are FAST and EASY to make. You can get the dough ready while the oven heats up. They cook in 14 minutes. Hot from the oven, slathered in butter and your favorite jam, they melt in your mouth!

I make several kinds (like adding raisins or cranberries) and freeze some of them, if they're any left! Then, warm one up for that special morning treat for your self or for guests that stay over.
