Robert Bank is an artisan glass blower who is at home in the Snoqualmie Valley of Washington, among the Ancestral Lands of the Snoqualmie Tribe. For over twenty years, Robert has been shaping molten glass into vibrant expressions of nature and memory and growing his craft. His journey began with a moment of fascination—watching a glass blower at work so captivated him that he stood engaged for hours and discovered what would become his lifelong passion for glass craftsmanship. That initial spark has grown into a rich and fulfilling career marked by artistry, mentorship, and recognition.
Over the years, Robert has collaborated with hundreds of fellow glass blowers, expanding his knowledge and refining his craft through shared experience. His pieces, often inspired by the organic forms and colors of the natural world, are held in prestigious collections around the world. Inspired by his love of nature, Bank creates glass art that evokes a smile, recalls a cherished place, or commemorates a meaningful moment—works that resonate deeply with those who experience them.
Beyond the studio, Robert finds his greatest fulfillment in his roles as husband and father. Teaching the art of glass blowing to his children is a profound part of his legacy. Through this passing down of tradition, he offers them not just a skill, but tools for life—patience, mindfulness, and a sense of flow. His hope is that these values, like his glasswork, will endure and inspire others. As Robert puts it, “May you always cultivate what inspires your inner flame.”
