Tastes like deep, chocolatey notes. About as classic of a dark chocolate as you can get with just a hint of bitterness from the crunchy, Uganda nibs.

MELTED CHOCOLATE POSSIBILITY:  Due to rising temperatures, it is not recommended to ship chocolate to warmer states at this time. If the destination state is already experiencing temperatures over 75° like Florida, Arizona, Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana, California, and Hawaii, the chocolate may arrive melted. 

  • Cacao from Semuliki Forest, Uganda, Located in Bundibugyo, Western Uganda, Semuliki Forest cacao is grown by 1,002 organic smallholder farmers in the region, 52% of whom are women. Latitude Trade Co. (LTC), the company that processes and exports this cacao, has organized 6 rural collection points for farmers to access. Beans are fermented in 500kg boxes for 5.5-6.5 days. After that, the cacao is sun-dried on portable raised racks for 6-7 days and blended to create consistent lots before export.
  • Organic Cane Sugar, Made from organic sugar cane grown in South America. The cane juice, rich in molasses, vitamins and minerals, is squeezed from fresh sugar cane, evaporated and crystallized.
  • Nibs, Uganda nibs are sprinkled (heavily) into the back of the bar to give this a satisfying crunch.
  • Note: Made without the use of additional flavor additives or emulsifiers, such as vanilla or soy lecithin. A chocolate that is true to the unique flavor of each cacao origin.
