From Our Archive: Genuine Skagit Valley (GSV), is a program that supports Skagit Valley growers and producers to help sustain farming in the region for generations to come. GSV members’ products feature a federally-registered ‘Genuine Skagit Valley’ certification mark, signifying that the product was grown and made entirely in the Skagit Valley.
In 2013, Washington State designated Skagit Valley as an Innovation Partnership Zone to enhance awareness of our unique agricultural character and rural community. Genuine Skagit Valley launched as a point-of-origin brand in 2019 and currently partners with over 85 growers, food producers, service providers and organizations allied to agriculture in the Skagit Valley.
