Conversatio Coffee Roasters is based out of a small town in Eastern Washington - Othello. Timm and Lori Taff’s love of people and love of coffee became the foundation of their business. The Latin word conversatio means to do life together - community. They knew they wanted their coffee roasting business to be bigger than just the beans – because it has the potential to connect and change lives. They value people more than things, and they believe that great coffee can fuel conversations, which in turn can change the world. Each one of their bags has a conversation prompt, to encourage conversations—civil conversations.

Timm does a phenomenal job of roasting the beans! He strives to introduce the heat in a way that brings out the best in each roast. The same bean can be roasted several ways, but he believes the beans will lead the way to the perfect roast, resulting in the best flavor. Lori brings business background to the company. From bookkeeping to merchandising to managing inventory, she strives to add a bit of flair to their brand. Lori enjoys the tasteful nuances of each region’s beans, and experiencing the nuances of different slow brew processes.

Timm and Lori surround themselves with quality people who help with branding, marketing, production, and sales. And they also are very grateful for their amazing kids (adults, now!) who have helped, encouraged, and graciously worked alongside them when they can.
