Up in the Northwest corner of Washington state, a dream was born based on the pure beauty offered by the Islands that embody the Puget Sound. Jamie Turpin and her family have been sailing the waters in and around the Salish Sea on their sailboat, Contentment, for over twenty years. Anchor Hill Candle Co grew of a love of sailing, family, connection, and the beauty that abounds the Puget Sound and many of the Islands that encompass the sound.
Jamie worked in the health and wellness field for the majority of her career, although she longed to create a product that could tie the beauty of the Puget Sound with an object that people could display in their homes, beach houses, or give as gifts. Her goal was to create a sustainable, eco-friendly and clean burning candle - all while promoting wellness.
What's in a name? Anchor Hill is the name of their family cottage on beautiful Whidbey Island. The symbolism of the anchor has timeless appeal as it signifies security and stability. Whether you're raising anchor to set sail on a new course, or have never left a shore, the anchor resonates with many.
Light a candle or enjoy a reed diffuser with your family and friends by your side and enjoy a piece of PNW Island inspired beauty.
