Island Art Glass

For forty years, Robert Adamson and Janis Swalwell have been designing and making hand-blown, sculpted and cast glass art. Moving from Seattle to their 16-acre farm on Whidbey Island in 1989, they repurposed old barns into new glass studios and re-emerged as Island Art Glass in 1995.

Stylish as a focal point, functional as a votive – this Spring Green Votive gleams amid your decor. The attraction of this hand blown votive by glass artists Robert Adamson and Janis Swalwell is the light bubbly character achieved by a controlled bubbles technique employed during the blowing process. This hollowware piece with a color inspired by nature makes a beautiful decorative accent with many practical uses.

The hand blown craftsmanship (without the use of molds) in this piece makes it an ideal statement-making element for decorating any room. For entertaining, it provides lighting and a cozy atmosphere; on an entryway console or coffee table it can be a sculptural element, or a layer of texture and color. Plus, it can also hold greenery or small bouquets or be useful in holding and organizing small trinkets.

Add this lustrous votive to your collection or introduce a new enthusiast to the world of glass. Each votive includes an artist profile card. Classic and beautiful, the Spring Green Votive will easily transform any room and is ideally suited as a gift for:

  • Mother's Day
  • Weddings
  • Anniversaries
  • Retirements
  • Housewarmings
  • Holiday gift giving
