Noir Lux Candle Co.
Self Care, Culture, Good Vibes & Nostalgia
Featured In Oprah Magazine
Noir Lux Candle Co. was established in September 2020 as sole proprietorship in Seattle, WA, owned and operated by Colina Bruce. While Colina had spent over 15 years in the nonprofit and education sector prior to founding the company, Colina made the decision to merge her love of candles and value of self-care to create Noir Lux Candle Co. Launching in the midst of the COVID19 pandemic, Colina had a goal of selling 10-15 candles a month as a form of supplemental income. On her first day of business, to Colina’s complete surprise, she sold out of 120 candles in less than 3 hours. This was just the beginning of the Noir Lux journey. In February 2021, Noir Lux Candle Co. was featured in Oprah Magazine as one of 25 Best Black-Owned Candle Companies.
At Noir Lux Candle Co. their mission is to create candles that smell good and do good, producing premium high-quality candles and experiences that evoke self-care and nostalgia, with opportunities to promote and benefit really cool nonprofit organizations. Noir Lux has partnered with numerous nonprofit organizations through its Candles for a Cause Collection, raising awareness and funds for Bike Works, Mary’s Place, the College Success Foundation, You Grow Girl, The Tubman Center for Health, Lights Out Volleyball, and more, donating over $2,000 to respective nonprofit organizations.
