LEAP was established in the summer of 2020 in Bellingham, WA by husband-wife duo Nicholas Sotak and Liza Higbee-Robinson. At the time they were a couple of hungry trail runners (with a three-year old taste tester) interested in new and delicious, minimally-processed plant-based snacking options they could enjoy as a family. They developed their first recipes at home and launched their business with four new and innovative nut butter combinations that were fresh to the market — their original sampler pack. LEAP is an acronym for Live Eat Appreciate Play. At LEAP, they believe in ethically-sourced, environmentally responsible diets that energize and support optimal health and joy. This has meant embracing a largely plant-based diet, avoiding highly processed foods, and supporting local food producers and manufacturers. Recognizing that adopting a vegan or vegetarian diet focused on the consumption of minimally-processed whole foods can be challenging and time consuming, LEAP is on a mission to make plant-based snacking easier and tastier! Each of their nut butters is inspired by their love of bold adventure and taste, and is made with 100% pure and organic plant-based ingredients in a peanut/soy/gluten-free facility.
