Mount Rainier is a large stratovolcano and the largest mountain in the Cascade Range and the 17th highest mountain in the US at 14,441 feet (4, 392 meters). The land that is now Mount Rainier National Park is the ancestral homeland of the Cowlitz, Muckleshoot, Nisqually, Puyallup, Squaxin Island, Yakima and Coast Salish people who remain dedicated caretakers of this land. The last eruption was small and occurred in 1894-1895. Mount Rainier remains an active volcano and will continue to go through erupt/rebuilding cycles. The National Park is visited by roughly 2 million people yearly. It is an awe-inspiring place and a visit you will never forget.
Candle Care: Your first time lighting the candle, please burn the candle until you have a melt pool that goes edge to edge. This process usually takes 2-3 hours and will prevent “tunneling” so your candle will last longer. Trim wick to ¼” before each use to reduce unnecessary smoke. Keep away from drafts and vents. Follow all safety instructions on the candle warning label.
